Some places just feel like part of your story. For me, Ojai is one of them. As a Ventura native, I've been visiting Ojai since I was a child, and I love every chance I get to work just a few miles from my home and studio.
I'm Allison Kunath, a fine artist based in Ventura. I bring blind contour portrait sessions, live watercolor painting, and live mural work to weddings and private events throughout the valley. Each experience is shaped by the room, the people, and the moment… nothing pre-made, nothing generic.

Continuous Line Portraits
There's something about Ojai that slows people down - and a blind contour portrait session fits right into that. Drawn without looking at the paper, each portrait is imperfect, organic, and somehow completely the person sitting across from me. Guests leave with something handmade that actually means something.
About The Process
Guests sit for a short portrait session (2–5 minutes). Drawings are done in a single continuous line without lifting the pen. Works beautifully for intimate cocktail hours, garden parties, and private estate gatherings in the valley.

Ojai has a long history of attracting artists. A live mural feels at home here — a large-scale painting made in real time, shaped by the land, the light, and the people gathered around it. By the end of the evening, something exists that didn't before, and it stays with the host long after guests have gone.
