Allison Kunath Design is an artist-founded mural studio specializing in large-scale hand-painted work for commercial, hospitality, and public spaces. Most muralists are not licensed contractors. Our C-33 painting license is rare in this industry - and it matters for institutional and commercial work.
A license signals experience with job site coordination, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. It is also the only way to carry proper insurance, including workers' compensation for an on-site crew.

Mural pricing depends on scale, complexity, and site conditions. Most of our commercial projects start at $10,000. For projects requiring overnight travel, our minimum is $15,000. We provide detailed estimates tailored to each project - reach out and we'll put together some numbers based on your scope.

Yes - this is the majority of our work. We regularly collaborate with interior designers, architects, creative directors, art advisors, and the commercial developers that hire them. We can plug into your team or lead the entire creative process from concept through installation.

We have painted on drywall, Level 5 stucco, rough concrete, brick, cinder block, slatted panels, polished concrete, corrugated steel and wood. If you are unsure about a surface, send us a photo - we’ll be happy to take a look.

We're experienced collaborating with hotel design teams and art advisors to create work that fits the tone of the property without feeling generic.
